- Sue is also a Hood River Native. She opened Cascade Travel in 1980 in partnership with her mom who retired in 1991. Sue Attended STT Travel School in 1976 and worked in Portland for 2 years before moving home to Hood River in 1978 to work for Hazel Phillips Travel in Hood River and The Dalles before opening Cascade Travel in 1980. She has traveled all over the world; Thailand, Japan, Micronesia, Europe & South America. Her focus these last few years has been on cruising and scuba diving.
