He began his career as an assistant in Building Construction and Remodeling. As part of his job, he was educated on carpets and installation. It was not long until Steven Chuang recognized his interest in this field and saw a vision, which lead him towards fulfilling his dream.

In the year 1990, Steven Chuang opened the doors to his first Carpet store in New York City. Though it was tough breaking into the New York market considering the large numbers of competitors, Carpet King Corporation still managed to stay a profitable business for 6 years. Then in 1996, Steven decided to move his business to Seattle in search of a different surrounding for his family.

Being a loving husband and a caring father, Steven realizes the importance of family values. He believes that a important part of every family is to be able to feel comfortable in their own homes.
