CardioKinetix is a producer of the Parachute Implant device, which is a viable left-sided heart failure treatment. It is a percutaneous ventricular restoration therapy. It restores the shape of the left ventricle which is often enlarged after patients experience a heart attack.
The Parachute Procedure
The Parachute Procedure consists of a few devices, the Parachute Implant, The Delivery System, and The Guide Catheter. All of these devices are used to restore the patient's left ventricle.
The Guide Catheter is used to aid in the navigation of the left ventricle. It is available in a variety of shapes which resemble the range of left ventricle shapes.
The Delivery System is equipped with two accessories: a loading funnel and tear-away introducer. It features a threaded tip where the Parachute Implant is attached. It transfers the Parachute implant into the Guide Catheter. For more info click on the image below to view the Slideshare:
