"I launched CanadaIT™ in March 1996. Having worked internationally, I knew that many people around the world wanted to know about Canada's IT and Internet sectors. I wanted to create a place where they could find out what was going on in Canada and get in touch with those firms they wanted to do business with. I also knew that because Canada was so big, many Canadian firms were unaware of partnering opportunities right here at home. I thought that CanadaIT could play a role in helping the IT industry to get to know itself and create an easy way for journalists, advisors and investors to spot the "up-and-comers".
I decided at the outset that CanadaIT should allow its members to have control over their own information. CanadaIT would provide the infrastructure and marketing, while Canadian companies would provide the content. The result?.... well today our newest version of CanadaIT.com offers a free Company Profile service, a free Press Release service, a free Event Calendar service, and all sorts of free information resources including our unique Venture Capital information section. Our Job Board has thousands of employment listings and more than 2,500 companies have become members. I hope that you find CanadaIT useful."
Across the top of every page at CanadaIT.com you'll find our set of main navigation links. These links are regionally sensitive, so if you click on the BC tab for example, the Companies links will only take you to pages that have been indexed for British Columbia.
