Camco Community Federal Credit Union
Description
Camco Community Federal Credit Union was organized in December 1957 to provide financial services to the employees of Owens Corning Fiberglas. Chartered in January 1958 as the Barrington Fiberglas FCU, it later became known as Barrington FCU in 1986. Several other employee groups were added to the membership charter after the original sponsor ceased operation. In 1996 the credit union office moved to the present location and conversion to a community chartered credit union was actively pursued.
The credit union was approved by the National Credit Union Administration to serve those persons who live, worship, go to school, or work in and businesses and other legal entities located in the Borough of Bellmawr, New Jersey at which time the name changed to "Camco Community Federal Credit Union".
