Who We Are
CALCampus is a private, international distance learning school, located in the U.S., which offers postsecondary (college) and upper secondary (high school) course instruction through the Internet. Enrollment is open to all individual, mature learners anywhere in the world who have access to the Internet. CALCampus was founded in 1982 as CALC, the Computer Assisted Learning Center. It began teaching courses exclusively online in 1986 as the CALC Online Campus, and in 1995 adopted the name of CALCampus when it moved onto the Internet. The complete CALCampus catalog is available to the public on the World Wide Web at www.calcampus.com. Courses are offered in business, computer programming, computer applications and technology, English, mathematics, science, social science, general studies, and legal studies. English (ESL) courses are offered for non-native speakers. Students use our courses for many different purposes according to their own needs.
Online Campus
CALCampus services (libraries, administrative communications, conference rooms, Web site, Web applications, etc.) are provided through dedicated Web and Application servers, which are designed specifically by our administration to fulfill CALCampus operations, and are accessible to registered students via the Internet at http://www.calcampus.com/access.htm.
Through our Online Campus, students and teachers utilize our online classrooms and libraries. Teachers are available 24/7 through e-mail and they hold weekly office hours online for realtime chat. We provide an online Bookstore for course textbooks.
