On July 23, 1998, Exodus Egypt became cairolive.com. Since then, the site has gained even wider exposure. Still a one man show, the pressures of daily life and a professional career as a journalist soon forced Tarek Atia into fewer and fewer updates. Today, with a small but dedicated team and a new look, cairolive.com is poised to become the leading Egyptian news portal with a global focus, committed to providing the most innovative content on Egypt and its place in the changing world.
