Burch Manufacturing Company began business around 1922 in Kansas City, MO. Julian Burch was the Founder. Shortly thereafter Charles T. Manley joined Julian in the business. About six months later Charles T. Manley bought out Julian Burch. The company continued to be Burch Manufacturing Company until 1940, when the popcorn machine began to be sold under the Manley, Inc. name. The supplies continued to be sold under the Burch name until they were transitioned over to the Manley name.
