Bu Jin® Design is located in Boulder, Colorado in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies. We locally design and develop all the products that bear our signature. The items we offer are manufactured under our close supervision and meet our high standards for quality.
Bu Jin Design took shape in Florida, in 1976, through the vision of Hiroshi Ikeda, after he moved from Japan to study and teach aikido. Ikeda made hakama and experimented with new designs and materials for weapons cases and word soon spread about these one-of-a-kind products.
In 1980, Ikeda moved to Boulder, where he and his wife have developed Bu Jin Design to a company, that today provides uncompromising quality and service to martial artists throughout the world.
