BSE (Mad Cow) Class Action

Description

pulled from site's meta description

On May 20, 2003 cattle producers were struck with the worst disaster to hit the Canadian agriculture industry since the Great Depression. Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (also known as bse or mad cow disease) was diagnosed in one cow in Alberta, triggering the immediate closing of international borders to Canadian cattle and beef. Canadian cattle producers have lost billions of dollars in revenue as a result. Farms that have been in the same family for generations have been sold. Many producers have been forced to turn their back on farming altogether. Families have suffered and continue to suffer. This national class action is intended to recover every penny lost by Canadian cattle producers from those who caused their losses. Make no mistake, Canadian cattle and beef are the safest and finest in the world. Cattle producers in Canada may have had their ranks thinned, but they will continue to survive. We are here to not only ensure that survival, but also to do our best to help the Canadian cattle industry thrive and grow.
