Description
B+S Card Service is part of the Sparkassen financial syndicate. However, all services, notably those relating to account transactions, are provided without particular dependence to any bank. B+S cooperates with over 500 financial institutions.
In February 2005, B+S Card Service merged with the affiliated company Anthros in order to be able to offer an even wider range of services.
B+S provides for the authorisation and settlement of credit card sales for MasterCard, Visa and JCB, these cards to be entered via the POS-terminals of the various operators and the data then to be submitted to B+S. B+S handles the clearing with the card issuing institutions and card organisations worldwide. The respective equivalent values are credited to the account specified by the customers of the merchants. Acquiring service also includes the respectively latest state-of-the-art technical functions, such as the settlement of corporate or purchasing cards or the security of chip cards with a PIN.
