britsail is a RYA Sailing School operating out of Kip Marina, Scotland's Premium - easily accessible by car and public transport... and by foot if you happen to live in Inverkip.
We are one of the few with a female Sailing Principal and also one of the few that offer theory based courses from RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship all the way up to Yachtmaster Ocean, including RYA Day Skipper and RYA Coastal Skipper. We also regularly run RYA Marine Radio (SRC VHF DSC) Courses and CEVNI exams.
Our team are first and foremost yachties, picked for their passion for sailing, endless patience and sense of humour, enabling them to deliver the most enjoyable sailing experience possible. Our Sailing Principal has sailed in many locations around Scotland, the UK and Internationally, including a couple of short-handed Transatlantics, the Rolex Fastnet, RORC events, the English Channel and the Channel Islands, the Irish Sea, and extensively in the most picturesque waters to be found anywhere in the world... on the West Coast of Scotland.
Practical courses are run aboard one of a number of modern sailing yachts, with courses from RYA Start Yachting through RYA Day Skipper and RYA Coastal Skipper being run on a weekly basis throughout our extended sailing season.
Other offerings include Women Only courses, Corporate events, Duke of Edinburgh, Mile Builders and RYA Yachtmaster preparation courses.
