Title
Breedlove Dehydrated Foods - World Hunger Relief and Global Hunger Relief through Dehydrated Food and Nutritional Supplements
Description
Breedlove Dehydrated Foods is a non-profit dehydration plant and packaging operation that is dedicated to providing nutritious and wholesome dehydrated vegetable products to hunger and famine relief projects in the United States and around the world. It is the first large-scale vegetable processing plant in the world devoted to feeding hungry people.
In 1995 Texas Governor George W. Bush and State Senator John T. Montford try a bowl of soup produced at Breedlove Dehydrated Foods.
To meet requirements, Breedlove utilizes donated product when available, and often purchases commercial grade products to make up any difference. Because of Breedlove's non profit status, procurement of commercial grade product is often at a reduced cost. To date, over 30 million pounds of vegetables have been processed through the facility and shipped throughout the world.
