Brady Nursery is one of Wichita's oldest and most successful nursery and landscaping businesses. Brady Nursery has been owned and operated by Joe and Catherine Brady and four of their seven children; Pat, Mike, Cathy and Maureen, since 1952. Joe Brady graduated from Kansas State University in 1950, making Brady Nursery the first in Wichita to have a graduate horticulturist on staff. He believed that to have the finest trees available, he would have to grow his own. Today, Brady Nursery is famous for it's trees, and offers the largest selection in Kansas. We are currently in production on 50 acres with over 150 varieties of shade, ornamental and evergreen trees. (Several varieties are available in tree-spade sizes (4"-8" caliper for instant shade!) We offer 30 varieties of crabapples, along with many rare and unusual trees. Joe Brady introduced many selections of trees like the Lacebark Elm, Japanese Tree Lilac, and American Yellowwood to the residents of Sedgwick County. Mike Brady carries on the tradition and is currently manager of all field production operations.
Brady Nursery, in addition to field production, has a beautiful Garden Center, managed by Cathy and Maureen Brady. Brady Nursery offers a complete line of garden products, from seed and fertilizer, to garden tools, pottery and gift items. Gift items include fountains, statues, birdbaths, wind chimes, along with seasonal and holiday items.
The Landscaping Department is managed by Pat Brady, also a 1978 K.S.U. horticulture graduate. Pat's staff consists of a Director of Landscape operations, several landscape designers, several landscape foremen and landscape crewmembers. The landscape designers are also horticulture and/or landscape architecture graduates. We provide many different options for landscape planting plans that will fit with the customer's ideas to create the landscape each customer desires for the home or office. Brady Nursery offers a complete landscape installation service, for residential or commercial projects. We also offer delivery service for do-it-yourselfers. Brady Nursery strives to focus on the customer's needs, and to accomplish what the customer wants, by providing the best possible plants and services available to always meet or exceed every customer's expectations.
