Umbria luxury holiday apartments in Italian medieval castle with pool Monticelli was originally a small medieval settlement dating back to the early 12th century . On this site in 2005 the restoration of 16 apartments ranging from 55 to 170 square meters was completed. The oldest parts of the settlement were three military towers constructed between the years 1100 and 1260 to control the valley west of Perugia, the capital of Umbria. The walls of the towers are over one meter thick.
