Based on this, we offer Hungarian companies efficient presence on the World Wide Web. ROMbrandt Multimedia Alkotóház Ltd. was the first in Hungary, which created electronic databases in the area of tourism; these were published on CD-ROM, later on the Internet (Hungarian Tourism Website). For its work the firm won the MATUR DÍJ (Hungarian Tourism Prize) which is the largest one in the hungarian tourism.
Since 2000, ROMbrandt Ltd. has a strategic partnership with Axelero Co. Ltd. the leading Internet provider of Hungary, a subsidiary company of the Hungarian Telecommunications Company Co. Ltd. (MATÁV). Today, Axelero Co. Ltd. is the majority owner of our company. After this co-operation came into existence, we proceeded to create and operate the largest domestic tourism portal named Travelport.hu. Prior to this portal, our company designed the first and only domestically developed on-line booking system called Hungarian Central Reservation System (HCRS), which runs successfully on Travelport.hu. Besides HCRS, our company also developed the Travel Central Reservation System that allows on-line booking, and buying travel programs and air tickets. With these efforts, ROMbrandt Multimedia Ltd. today is Hungary’s leading company in this field of activity. In 2004 the ROMbrandt Ltd. made the transaction to be the only proprietor of the firm, buying the Axelero’s business share back.
