SPECIAL NOTE: Starting Oct. 1, through at least January 2006, I will be focusing entirely on the 52 Projects book and the 52projects.com site. I do hope, especially if you've been a longtime reader of Bookmouth.com, that you'll consider supporting the new book. And you're probably at this site in the first place because you are a project-maker, and well, that's what 52 Projects: Random Acts of Everyday Creativity is all about. The book will be published on Nov. 1, 2005 (available for pre-order here and here), so I now have to put to work many of the things I've written about here at Bookmouth.com. While there will be occasional updates to the Bookmouth.com site, I do encourage you to visit 52Projects.com to see all the cool stuff that's happening there. And yes, please order my book!
Bookmouth.com features author interviews, as well as interviews with people making cool things happen in the publishing scene. The main focus is books, but there will also be interviews with people making cool projects outside of the book industry. Book marketing and DIY publishing tips are also featured, as well as a weblog on books, the book industry, and cool websites in general. In the left hand column of the main page there is also a long list of links to excellent sites that cover a wide range of writing and publishing subjects and interests - some people have said that's the best part of this site (I guess I should be flattered and offended at the same time...).
This webzine is run by Jeffrey Yamaguchi. I'm a writer and website publisher. In addition to Bookmouth.com, I publish several other websites: workingfortheman.com, What's Your Project?, and 52 projects. I have independently published two books -- Working For The Man - Stories From Behind The Cubicle Wall and Get The Word Out, and I've also written for all kinds of publications and websites. My book 52 PROJECTS will be published by Penguin's Perigee imprint in November 2005.
