The Canadian Children's Book Centre (CCBC) is a national, not-for-profit organization, founded in 1976. We are dedicated to encouraging, promoting and supporting the reading, writing and illustrating of Canadian books for young readers. Our programs and publications offer a wide range of resources to anyone who is interested in quality reading for children and teens.

When you join the CCBC, you'll receive our quarterly magazine, Canadian Children's Book News, which highlights what's new and exciting in the Canadian children's book world. You'll also receive Our Choice, the authoritative guide to new Canadian children's books, magazines, audio and video. Our online resources include book industry news, a guide to Canadian children's book awards, and a listing of Children's Literature Roundtables for children's book enthusiasts across the country.

The CCBC offers a full range of programs, publications and services to professionals working with books. Preparing a unit or display on a Canadian author or illustrator? Our resources and publications cover all aspects of Canadian children's literature, including special bibliographies, biographies and guides full of programming ideas. Associate members receive 10 copies of Canadian Children's Book News, the annual Our Choice guide, as well as the yearly Book Week Kit.
