Bloemfontein Striders was born on 17 May 2004 – in Bloemfontein. There was a big need for a running club in Langenhovenpark, as development in this area was taking place at a rapid rate. A group was started here and grew from strength to strength. A new logo and running shirt was designed, which represents a young and modern running era. The new colours of blue, green, black and white was decided on to fit the new look.
