Description
Faculty of Letters Udayana University was founded in 1958. It was four years earlier than the University itself. The University was founded, in 1962. It has developed a reputation for the quality of education and cultural studies in Bali.
It has six departments: (a) Indonesian Literature; (b) English Literature; (c) Local Language Literature; (d) History; (e) Anthropology; and (f) Archeology. There are two Diploma Programs: (a) Diploma One in Cultural Tourism and (b) Diploma Three in Japanese Language and Culture. There is also an Indonesian Language Course for Foreign Speakers called BIPA. It also has postgraduate programs in Linguistics, Translation, and Cultural studies.
BIPA is a Non-Degree Program. It is established to help foreign people learn the Indonesian Language and culture of Indonesia both receptively and productively.
