Hi, My name is Linda Walker and I have over 18 years in the health and medical claims industry. Prior to April of 2004, PMRNC, a division of K&L Media, LLC was owned and operated by my best friend Kirsten Ganavazos and myself since April of 2000. Together we created one of the largest and most well known internet resources in our industry!
I started my career in 1988 as a claims examiner at Prudential Insurance Company. In 1991 I went to work as a claims specialist at US Life in NJ and in 1996 I started my own medical billing company. At the time I started my company, my two girls were both toddlers. It was a challenge that has rewarded me over and over again! I gained knowledge of the claims industry from both the physicians side as well as the insurer's side. Both sides of the fence has brought me to where I am today. Today PMRNC is my main focus. I continue to do consulting and Physician Practice office setup primarily on the East Coast. I have done various consulting jobs in the last two years in preparation for HIPAA compliance with many physicians and health care providers doing everything from office set-up to HIPAA compliance strategy and implementation. I have prepared countless policies and procedural manuals by taking the time in each office and carefully gathering the necessary information to make sure each of my clients is fully in compliance and follows the compliance plan I setup.
Currently PMRNC has over 6500 subscribers and grows rapidly every day. I envision many great things to come and look forward to more success for the billers in our network! In the following months there will be more course offerings, more specialty pages, and more one-on-one mentoring availability. One of the things I think will never change is the personal touch I will continue to bring to PMRNC . I will continue to oversee everything from samples to networking and plan to communicate with all our subscribers. Another thing that will not change is our relationship with our "sponsor's" You will never see reference to completion among sponsor's such as AMBA , or NEBA. Why? It's very simple. Over the many years of working with both networks, I have learned that each is unique and each brings their own personal touch and experience to the industry. Both Cyndee Weston of AMBA and Merry Schiff of NEBA have been mentors and friends to me throughout the years. Their dedication and passion for this business is profound and I will continue to recommend memberships to their networks. There is room for all of us to provide readily available resources, networking and professionalism to the industry.
