- Joe Maniscalco was born in San Francisco in 1926. As a child his interest in art was evident, but his career was delayed due to WW2 during which he served as a medic in the Mediterranean theater. After his discharge he furthered his education earning a masters degree in art education. For further study he also attended the Art Center in Los Angeles, CA. Joe was a college art teacher for 18 years, but most of his career has been as a freelance artist. He has 37 published books on various subjects, but most of his work is religious art. His latest venture is making CDs of his religious and wildlife art. These high quality images are enhanced and suitable for publication.
