- When I was in sixth grade (oh so many years ago!) my parents gave me a ventriloquist puppet as a Christmas present. Of all the Christmas presents I have ever received, that one present changed my life more than any other. I began studying and practicing ventriloquism (hours and hours spent in front of a mirror!) and before too many years had passed, I was doing short ventriloquism shows at my church, and also at my school.
