Description
Many people may be unfamiliar with the name: Assemblies of God. Questions may arise concerning our exact identity. These questions may include: who are they, what do they believe, and, quite possibly, are they a cult?
As a church, we fall under the Protestant umbrella. We agree with Martin Luther's belief that people are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9) We are also Trinitarian in that we believe in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Our understanding of God is contained within The Apostle's Creed.
The Assemblies of God is notably classified as Evangelical. Simply stated, it is our desire to fulfill the "Great Commission." This was given by Christ Himself to the church. He wants us to "go forth and make disciples of all people." (Matthew 28:19-20).
