It was the vision of those who first named our congregation, and it remains our purpose today, that: Bethel Lutheran Church offer a clear witness concerning God's presence and power at work in our world, and His faithful love and tender mercy as He continues to reveal them to our members and non-members alike, on a daily basis. Bethel was founded in 1954 and the first service was held in East Elementary School in Grandville on May 2, 1954 and was attended by eighty-five people.
