- Behlen Mfg. Co. was founded in 1936 by Walter D. Behlen. In 1969, Behlen was sold to the Wickes Corporation. On May 5th, 1984, a management buy-out led by A.F. “Tony” Raimondo, the company’s current Chairman and C.E.O., returned the company to local ownership where it has remained since that time.
