Ray Schofield-Almond has worked as the official videographer for many years with the War Research Society . He has always been interested in photography and videography. He served in the military and the diplomatic service ending his career as a company director in the City of London.
Using the latest video techniques, he is responsible for filming, editing and producing your video. He seeks to ensure videos are of the highest quality and standard, reaching veterans of all wars and others with an interest in military history.
Ray's own story of family discovery was recorded by BBC Essex in 2004. His real dad was killed in 1944, shot by a German bullet while on a mission during World War Two. His mother was so traumatised by her husband's death she couldn't bring herself to talk about it or tell her son about his real father. Ray's story culminates in an emotional reunion with the man who was with his father when he died. Click here to listen to the interview.
