Bar H Ranche was established by Bobby Pidgeon, Germantown, TN, in 1990, to promote and develop the offspring of Dual Pep. At the time, Dual Pep was five and a leading competitor in both open and non-pro limited age events. In 1991, Bar H Ranche broodmare CD Chica San Badger produced CD Olena, who would win the NCHA Futurity and Derby and be named 1995 NCHA Horse of the Year. As with Dual Pep, CD Olena became a sire of major winners with his first crop.
