Barbour Stockwell was founded in 1858 and throughout its history has been involved in the design, development, and manufacture of special machinery for unusual applications. In keeping with this tradition, BSi began building high speed spin test turbines for the General Electric Company at the dawn of the jet age. In the early 1950's the company began to devote its entire capabilities to the development and application engineering of high speed drives and control systems.
