BARA, the "Binghamton Area Rainbow Association" is an all volunteer organization that has been serving the local community since 1988, BARA, like it's predecessor organization SYOL, is a nonprofit 501c(3) educational and charitable corporation, serving gays, lesbians bisexuals and transgendered persons in the Southern Tier of New York State.
None of BARA's activities would be possible without the continued support of the community it serves. Over the years there have been an untold number of people who have helped - either through volunteer effort, financial support or kind words of encouragement. We would like to thank everyone who has helped in any way, and we encourage you to join with our volunteers to help our community.
The requirements outlined in our previous nondiscrimination Policy statement have been included in BARA's new Ethics Policy. Please see this policy for details.
