About me...
I'm Ryan Robbins. I'm a free-lance writer from Bangor, Maine, and a graduate of the University of Maine, with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and psychology. My hobbies include maintaining bangorinfo.com, umpiring baseball, photography, reading, downhill skiing, hiking and, of course, writing.
2006 is my fourteenth year as a National Federation-certified umpire. The National Federation of State High School Associations governs the rules for most states' high school sports. I umpired in the Class B Eastern Maine tournament in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2005; the Class C Eastern Maine tournament in 1999, 2002, 2003, and 2004; and in the Class D Eastern Maine tournament in 2001, 2003, and 2004. I also umpire Little League baseball, primarily in the junior and senior divisions, and American Legion. I have umpired in numerous state Little League tournaments and in the 1999 and 2000 New England Divisionals for the senior division.
Pets are a big part of my family; I have a cat, Sara. My parents have two dogs, two cats and a turtle; and my oldest sister has two dogs and three cats.
