- Who we are. Bambooh2o was founded by two entrepreneurs who wanted to start a company that is self rewarding, productive, and help our planet fight off global warming. During our research we found that Bamboo takes in greenhouses gasses, sequesters nitrogen and produces 35% more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees. If grown around the world it will help replenishes our atmosphere. Bamboo is one of the world's best sustainable resources with a growth rate of up to 3 feet or more per day. Bamboo can be harvested in 4-5 years unlike traditional hardwoods that can take up to 50-75 years. Bamboo also stabilizes the earth with its erosion preventing roots, and improves the health of the soil. Bamboo has over 1400 known uses. Bamboo is also good for our ecosystems because Bamboo does not require pesticides, insecticides, or fertilizers, and does not involve the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Bamboo fibers are biodegradable, unlike synthetic textile fibers. Bamboo offers an amazing alternative that will help in our march to stop global warming. Bambooh2o vision is spread as much bamboo in its community as possible and onto other communities.
