What is BalkanKult Foundation
From everything that man erects and builds in his urge for living nothing is in my eyes better and more valuable than bridges. They are more important than houses, more sacred than shrines. Belonging to everyone and being equal to everyone, useful, always built with sense, on the spot where most human needs are crossing, they are more durable than other buildings and they do not serve for anything secret or bad.
Considering the situation in the region of the west Balkans, where the culture is completely marginalized, we considered that it was necessary to change the present state of affairs and help the development of the cultural cooperation in the region. Balkankult foundation continues the work initiated by Balkankult association, founded in 1999, in Sarajevo.
In order to make the completion of our ideas and projects possible, we need, above all, financial logistics. The region of the west Balkans gets considerable financial help, but, unfortunately, it detours the cultural production.
