- Bahama Llamas is a family farm located in Franklin County, Virginia near the Smith Mountain Lake resort area. We decided to name our farm Bahama Llamas cause it is FUN and easy to remember. We also like to go to the Bahamas! Our introduction to llamas began in 2000. After living on Smith Mountain Lake for 14 years we decided to sell our waterfront home and get back to the lifestyle we grew up with. We wanted our children to grow up with animals and chores like us, except milking a cow!
