Baby Becoming is a family business owned and operated by three generations of women. My mom, Lorice, oversees the financial matters. I (Charlotte) carry the title Owner ~ Designer ~ Mommy, and am charged with the day to day operation and my daughter, Clorice, has been the CEO since age two years. The women who work with us in the wear house or answer the phone are mothers like you. It’s not uncommon to hear a child’s voice in the background when you call. We have such a child friendly work environment that during school vacations we have been mistaken for a day care.
Baby Becoming clothing is designed and engineered specifically for you the full-bodied women. Every pattern starts from scratch and may take over a year in development. The styles and colors and fabrics are all hand picked to fit, flatter and feel wonderful.
I was 35 when my daughter was born and I wanted to be with her. I needed a job that would let me be at home and pay the bills. The frustration of not being able to find maternity clothing in my size was the inspiration. I couldn’t be the only woman who had to do with out because I was ‘to big to start with’.
