I tend to work in series, concentrating on several themes such as self-portraits or the life cycle of an amaryllis. The through-line for the work is process and the transitory nature of things - observing the amaryllis from bud to bursting seed pods, discovering the decomposition process of a dead bird, coming to understand that the person who stood before the mirror yesterday is not the same person today.
