Description
The Directors of Blueprint Educational Services Pty Ltd are Paul Macmullen and Alan Smith. Both are experienced project managers and educational program design specialists with many years of experience in the higher education sector. They also collaborate and consult regularly with public and private sector organisations on range of educational and training issues. Paul and Alan are supported by a quality desktop publishing, web authoring, editorial and IT staff.
Paul has been involved in teaching, instructional design and educational consulting since the early 1990s. In addition to almost a decade of practical experience, he also completed a Master of Professional Education and Training degree from Deakin University in 1998 specialising in open and flexible learning systems. As an educational developer, Paul has collaborated on a diverse range of projects encompassing more traditional print, audio and video products and also utilising various on-line learning environments. His experience has also covered a variety of content areas at the tertiary level, including education, law, economics, accounting, information technology, psychology, history, arts, community development and indigenous studies. Paul also has considerable expertise in designing and implementing professional development strategies and evaluation at the course and program levels. His published work includes articles on various educational technologies, instructional design, quality enhancement approaches and effective incorporation of web-based technologies into established learning environments.
Alan's career in education began as a secondary school teacher in the Victorian State Education System in the late 1970s. He is an experienced lecturer, administrator and consultant with strong credentials in flexible delivery, curriculum development and developing resource-based learning materials in a wide variety of content areas and different learning environments. Alan also has significant project management experience in collaborative program development involving multiple stakeholders from the public sector and private enterprise. He is also an active participant in research and development work in the areas of collaborative partnerships, instructional design, flexible learning and open and distance education, and has published widely in these areas.
