- Our aim is to provide the best quality Oak we can find. Oak is durable, long lasting and resistant to rot. In later years it turns to an attractive silver grey colour. When the order is received it is given top priority. Our Oak stock is checked for only the best boards. An attractive grain pattern with no knots is essential. We look for something that will please us as much as it will please our client. We probably spend more time in the design stage than we do actually carving the sign itself. It has to look right. Positioning and setting out is everything. In fact so much is put into each sign we are genuinely reluctant to let it go when the time comes to post it to the client.
