Axes Systems is based in the heart of Switzerland. In the late 90’s the company was approached with a request to build a piece of software that would make cartographers' lives easier. Axes Systems accepted the challenge and built the first version of axpand. This first version already had high levels of automation and convenience tools for cartographers.
Since then Axes Systems has continued to work closely with researchers, customers and universities to continually improve its products. Recently, Axes Systems has revolutionized the map-making industry with its innovative axpand on Demand Software as a Service technology.
One of the main areas that Axes Systems has focussed on in the past is automatic generalization. Axes Systems has reached new levels of automatic generalization with axpand ng. ng is New Generation generalization. Using sophisticated workflow technology, both model and cartographic generalization are carried out in one complete process.
