Avalon Art and Yoga Center was built through a collaboration of artists and friends gathered together by Paul Crowl (founder) in January 2002. Our goal was to create a soothing yet inspiring environment in a facility that is optimum for your yoga practice. Paul has been a massage practitioner in the Palo Alto area for nearly ten years, and has been practicing yoga since the mid-80's. He has used the valuable knowledge that yoga has brought to him to help his clients alleviate their chronic aches and pains and improve their overall health. Realizing the amazing benefits of yoga, and seeing the growing need for another studio due to the recent recognition of yoga's incredible health value, Paul decided to create Avalon. Located beside a massage center on a calm main street in the heart of Palo Alto, Avalon is conveniently placed so that nearby residents can enjoy the benefits of yoga in a wonderful atmosphere. Featuring a floating hardwood floor, a custom redwood and glass partition, faux finished walls and floors, beautiful bamboo mural and fantastic mosaic tile work - Avalon is a unique and special space for anyone to visit. The high quality instruction and physical environment combine to allow you to transcend the stresses of your everyday life.
