In 1974 Rob began his career at an Oldsmobile dealer as an automotive line technician. He worked for Oldsmobile Dealers full time until 1976 where he took a job as a machinist at a factory. During this time, Rob worked part time as a technician for Oldsmobile Dealers .In 1986 Auto Recovery Specialists was formed by Rob. The sole purpose of Auto Recovery was to repair theft recovered, vandalized and fire damaged vehicles to pre-damaged condition. Duties included complete reconstruction of vehicle interiors, steering columns, dash replacement, air bag component diagnoses and replacement, cutting keys and coding locks, rewiring, repairing and replacing security systems. Complete reconstruction.
In 1993 Rob entered into the examination field for insurance companies working as an independent consultant for Auto Recovery, for the determination based on his expertise in auto theft methods of how a suspect vehicle was last operated. Rob’s vehicle fire repair experience had also proved to be an asset.
The purpose was to do examinations, instruct and consult on a full time basis. Rob has been directly involved in the repair of more than 10,000 theft recovered vehicles during his tenure with Auto Recovery.
