NOTE: The image above is a copy of the original pencil drawing in 2001 of my 6 year old twin sons, Phillip and Ryan, diagnosed with autism just prior to their second birthday. The artist, Rick Morrison, is a 17 year old young man on the autistic spectrum himself.
Our Mission at the McMurray A.R.T.S. Center and Autism Arts is to offer an open window of opportunities for our children, one in which their light can shine through to a broader community. When those who hear "different drummers" are valued and given opportunities, we believe society will begin to appreciate their individual uniqueness.
All projects for the McMurray A.R.T.S. Center and Autism Arts are supported 100% by parent volunteers and professional lead initiatives aimed toward advocacy and awareness for individuals and their families within the autistic spectrum.
