Description
My name is Nadma Dunham, I am a Registered Massage Therapist, a Registered Nurse and since Fall 2002 an Acupuncture student. This has been a long rewarding journey for me and one that is still continuing. It started in 1989 when I enrolled in nursing school. I graduated in 1992 in Austin, TX, but realizing quickly that the hospital environment lacks a nurturing, healing atmosphere, is highly mechanical and stressful, I decided to become a Massage Therapist to be able to offer the patients more. I graduated from massage school in 1996.
Through my own health explorations my path led me to several different bodywork modalities, such as Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage and TuiNa Chinese Massage (Acupressure Massage). After receiving lymphatic drainage on myself I noticed an improvement in my allergy symptoms and 6 months later I enrolled with the Dr. Vodder School of North America and completed several courses in lymphatic drainage. I am a certified Vodder Lymphatic Drainage Therapist and I have worked for 3 years exclusively with lymph edema patients in a local clinic.
Still wanting to learn more I took 2 courses in Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute in Florida and two courses with Jim Asher at the Colorado Cranial Institute in Boulder, CO. I have enjoyed helping people with this modality for several different conditions.
