Our treats are manufactured in our new, modern, export registered plant in Young, NSW. Most of our raw material is sourced from the adjacent export abattoir. Our close working relationship with the abattoir guarantees constant supply and quality of raw material. The abattoir, when fully commissioned February 2006, will be the largest meat processing facility in NSW, and the only plant processing Beef, Lamb and Pork simultaneously.
The raw material is prepared and cut to size prior to the drying process. Products are then placed on specialized mobile stainless steel racks, and moved into one of the drying rooms. The computerized jet-dryers are then programmed according to the particular product in the drying room. All products are processed and dried differently due to the variance in moisture content in each particular treat.
The drying process is very important and monitored closely by our trained staff and Quality Assurance team, to ensure that the product does not cook, but dehydrates all the moisture out, making the product healthy and safe for pets.
