Description
The site was established because there were no Australian sites similarly devoted to this subject. As as 'survivalist' I felt there was a need for a site to provide content relative to Australia, information on where to obtain products here in OZ and links to the best information on the internet.
On a personal note, I have been interested in 'survival' related issues for almost two decades, ever since seeing "The Day of the Triffids" (in colour) and reading books such as "No Blade of Grass" (John Christopher, 1956).
Recently I have been 'stepping up' my level of preparedness, due mostly to increasing global uncertainty and the needs of my family. I also have increasing concerns about the world economy and the environment. Nothing like a change in priorities to spur the imagination!
