- Fat Quarter Design - was founded by two Graphic Designers, Paul Higginson and Anthony Duke. Working on separate projects, they got talking and saw an opportunity for combining the two ideas. Paul was working on some children's plate designs for a ceramics company and Anthony was creating some charts for a book on tapestry designs. By combining the two projects their first idea was a cushion design commemorating the birth of a child.
