CHILD AND YOUTH CARE WORKERS NEEDED
child and youth care worker as well as some supervisors/house managers.I am an Family Support Worker who currently runs 8-10 homes that house one or two youths. Most often then not it is two staff to two children and at times if the youth is difficult two staff to one youth. Caregivers work for 24 hour shifts up to 3/4 a week. We fall under the foster parent act so the money is tax free and is 150.00 a shift. The idea is to create a "home" environment that supports the youths needs and provide some form of consistentcy in their lives. My homes are in Surrey, Port Coquitlam and a few in Chilliwack.
