Assist Limited was formed in 1987 by the current Chairman Bob Fitzjohn. As a serial entrepreneur he had had a number of successful ventures and Assist was created to supply Telecommunication and IT solutions to Chairman's then group of companies the Highway Group. Services were provided across the whole of the UK and when the main element of business was sold that company had 70 offices and 1000 mobile engineers.
Assist and its' sister company RSVP Call Centres were kept out of the sale and the current management team were headhunted to help develop Assist Solutions to become a major player in IT consulting.
It's success can be seen in the relationships that it now enjoys with major vendors such as Sun, IBM, Citrix, Bakbone and PGP. The future for Assist is looking very positive, having teamed up with RSVP to develop strong sales strategies and partnerships with Sun and IBM.
