The American Society for Quality’s Silicon Valley Section (0613) was founded in 1965 and was formed to address the rapidly expanding business base in the South San Francisco Bay area. The Silicon Valley Section was originally called the Santa Clara Valley Section but the name was changed in 2003 to reflect of the global recognition of this location as the creative center of the semiconductor and computer industry.
