- AboutFace Corporation was founded as Atlantic Media Corporation in 1993 to provide directory products and services to the business and academic communities. Initially the Company produced "facebooks" (names and faces directories) for local schools and companies. Beginning in 1995, AboutFace also began selling a Windows-based software package known as the Electronic Facebook to take the place of printed directories in leading-edge companies. In 1997, the Electronic Facebook was renamed AboutFace, and it is now in use at companies around the world.
